Seriously, today is one of the days I’ve been looking forward to for SO LONG that it’s beyond surreal to realize it’s finally arrived! I have a cover! And it’s now out in the world! Ackkk!
The Bloomsbury team has been such a delight to work with, and it is so, so cool to see their interpretation of Celaena and her world! And to see MY NAME! On a cover!!! (Seriously, I still can’t get over that, even months and months later). I absolutely adore the blue tones and the darkness of it, and…okay, I said I’d keep this short and sweet, right? So, I’ll just spare you my spazzing and flailing.
I hope you guys like the cover!!! And, as always, thank you so, so much for being so supportive and unfailingly enthusiastic throughout this entire journey. I feel beyond blessed to be able to share this moment with you all. <3

And okay, I think the synopsis is a little misleading, BUT Chaol's name is still Chaol--and in the book, he's referred to as Chaol. But his last name (Wydrael) got changed to Westfall, which is what they use on the back of the book...So, Chaol's name is still alive and well! :)

so maybe i'm a bit of weirdo (probably this should go without saying), and i almost always take the jacket cover off books (...is that bad? i just get distracted when holding a book and the cover is slippy-slidey)......can you tell us what the cover underneath the jacket is like?

Everyone else has already mentioned the superb details that make your cover gorgeous so I'll just add that I Love how her pose is reminiscent of a modern version of Rosie the Riveter in the We Can Do It poster! How especially kick-ass!!!

I agree with everyone else that she looks a little bit like you. I know you both look different, but the expression on your faces is practically identical! I immediately thought of you when I saw Celaena's face and I think that's just amazing!
I'm very excited to get my hands on this book. =) Were you ecstatic when you first got a peek at the cover?
And lol...People keep saying that we look alike, but...I think it's probably just that the pose in my author pic is slightly similar...? I don't know, *I* certainly don't see it, but...*blush*

I know the first book is probably only 1/3 of the story you posted on FP (probably changed dramatically of course) but the fact that it's so long just makes me that much more excited! And for the sequels! Endless sequels please!
I still have a clear mental image of Celaena when I read the novellas, but I do really like the model they have for the cover! And I love the blues!
And endless sequels...lol, *I* certainly hope I'm blessed enough to write endless sequels, but we'll have to see what the publishing gods have in store for me! :)
To be honest, I agree that the girl on the cover isn't the Celaena in my head/imagination, but it's still neat to see their interpretation of her (and the model is super pretty and fierce)! And I <3 the blues so much!!!
