So, some of you might have seen a random, really cryptic/vague tweet about getting some super-awesome news on Thursday, AND now that I’ve gotten the go-ahead…I am SO thrilled and proud to announce that the film option rights for THRONE OF GLASS are now represented by Jon Cassir of CAA (Creative Artists Agency)! (No, this doesn’t mean a movie is getting made, or that it's been optioned…it just means that I now have a film agent! HOORAY!)

AND….I know I said that Novella #1 would be available on January 31st…And I know that some of you marked your calendars and were really, really looking forward to January 31st being the day that you could finally meet Celaena and read about her adventures with a certain Pirate Lord, but…

Sometimes, things in publishing are totally out of your control. Sometimes, release dates change…And I really, really hate to say this, but….

Novella #1--THE ASSASSIN AND THE PIRATE LORD--won’t be releasing on January 31st.

A little present from me (and the Bloomsbury Children’s staff) to you: THE ASSASSIN AND THE PIRATE LORD is now available for download over on Amazon! It will be available wherever Bloomsbury ebooks are sold, and will be up on the Nook and Kobo websites very soon, too!!! (If you don't have a kindle, you can download a free app for your desktop, iPhone, iPad, etc. here)

I am so, so ecstatic about this that I can hardly contain myself. This project came about because we wanted to make the wait for THRONE OF GLASS more bearable for YOU GUYS, and….it’s just super-surreal and wonderful to see it available for download after so many months working to make this happen.

I really, truly hope that you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it, and, as always, thank you SO much for everything that you’ve done for me & THRONE OF GLASS. This project wouldn’t have happened without you, so if you download the novella, please know that the words you’re reading are only there because of your support and enthusiasm for this series.

Thank you—from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU—for being so incredibly awesome. The very, very best part of this journey has been getting to know you guys, and I’m truly honored to have you in my life.

And, just because this song is so fantastically 80's and because I used to listen to it and daydream about days like today....this is totally what I've been listening to on repeat since I learned the novella had released a few days early:
