So, this is going to be a very, very exciting week. On Friday, I’ll have some BIG news/updates for you guys. Actually, I have SO MUCH news that I’m going to have to divide it up into two posts—one on Friday (1/13) and one the following Monday (1/16)! I have NO idea how I’m going to survive the next few days, because I am SO excited that I could burst.
ALSO (Also! Also!), today marks the launch of Pub(lishing) Crawl—AKA the blog formerly known as Let The Words Flow. We’re kicking off the Pub Crawl launch with a MONTH of killer giveaways. Seriously. We’re doing a giveaway with EVERY post we publish in January. Stuff like ARCs, critiques, agent pitch contests…It’s pretty epic.

So, make sure you stop by http://www.publishingcrawl.com today and say hi! We have SIX new members, and we’ll be unveiling them one by one over the next week!
~~
Anyway, last week, my soul twin (of win), Susan Dennard, and super-awesome critique partner, Kat Zhang, visited me in sunny California! We were joined one night by the lovely and immensely talented Leigh Bardugo, and…Oh, man. I had the best, best, BEST time. I could spend a whole blog post (a whole SERIES of blog posts) on all the fun and adventures and wonderfulness. But, let’s just say that nothing compares to watching STAR WARS with someone who knows the lines as well as you do, or just sitting by the pool, talking about writing and publishing and life stuff for hours and hours.
After they left on Friday, I pretty much cried the whole drive back from the airport (it’s a miracle I didn’t get into an accident). And when I got home, I totally just BINGED on cookie dough (...so much for my "get healthy" New Year's resolution). And then I got into bed and read THE SHADOW READER by Sandy Williams, which was/is the PERFECT cure for heartsickness (and which you should buy ASAP, because OMFG I loved it. I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW.).
I eventually got over my misery enough to work on my editor’s revisions for Novella #2 (THE ASSASSIN AND THE DESERT), and I handed in my revisions today! Hooray! (…Okay, I totally would be celebrating, except that I’m jumping right back into work on other QOG-related stuff, so...I don’t even have time for a dance party. Boo. Hiss.).
BUT…here’s something I did make the time to celebrate:
Last Thursday, I saw the rough cover design for QUEEN OF GLASS.
And it’s absolutely incredible. Like, mind-blowingly amazing. Every time I look at it (which is, like, every other minute), I get teary-eyed. I wish I could share it with you all RIGHT NOW, but because it’s still in an early draft stage, it will be a little while longer before I get the go-ahead to share it. (But perhaps you’ll get something to tide you over on Friday…!)
I hope you guys had an awesome weekend! Don’t forget to check out Pub Crawl today—and check back here on Friday for the first bit of my super-awesome news!!!
